Firm Overview
Finkelstein & Finkelstein, APC, is a husband-and-wife law firm that was founded in 1983 in San Diego, California. The firm represents plaintiffs in high-end or catastrophic injury/wrongful death cases involving personal injury, elder abuse/neglect, product liability, and professional malpractice, including both medical and legal malpractice cases.
Norman Finkelstein, Attorney
Norman Finkelstein is a retired lieutenant from the NYPD who has extensive trial and litigation skills and experience. His verdicts have included findings for punitive damages against various types of defendants, including several individuals and corporations, as well as a physician, an insurance company, and a business broker. Perhaps his most notable case was against the Broadway Department Stores for their security personnel "peeping" into women's fitting rooms, resulting in a verdict of $1,125,000.00.
Susan Finkelstein, Attorney
Susan Finkelstein is an experienced litigator and trial lawyer who has represented over a dozen minors with serious birth/brain/neurological injuries. She has also represented many adults in catastrophic injury cases including amputation, blindness and spinal cord injuries. Before joining the firm, Susan worked for Professional Risk Management of California, where she administered all medical malpractice claims brought against UCSD. It was perhaps this experience that enabled her to sharpen her negotiation and settlement skills, which is definitely her strong suit. Susan has obtained many settlements for her clients with values far in excess of $1,000,000.00.
